Important: This content is for education and information organisation; it does not provide an individual diagnosis or treatment plan. Clinical decisions depend on history, examination and appropriate testing.
Before booking travel
- Define the main problem and goal of the visit.
- Collect previous operation notes.
- Keep MRI reports and original images where possible.
- Relevant endoscopy and pathology.
- Medication/allergy list.
- Write two or three questions you want answered.
For recurrent fistula
Use the MRI decoder to understand report terms, then build the second-opinion dossier. A previous operation note may be as important as the MRI because it documents what was actually done.
Can everything be completed in one visit?
No guarantee can be made. Some decisions require examination, new imaging or a test that cannot be predicted before review. The goal is to reduce missing information and unnecessary repetition, not to promise one-day diagnosis or treatment.
Coordination before arrival
Use WhatsApp to coordinate clinic location and timing. Share only information that is necessary and remove identifiers from files used in educational tools where possible.
